What Goes Around, Comes Around

What Goes Around, Comes Around Posted on February 13, 2015

I am Sonhadora, 34 years old, born and raised in the Philippines. At 32, I decided to quit my job, sell everything I have and travel halfway across the world. It lasted for 14 months and I found my way back home. What do I know about life? A little and a lot. I’ve certainly had my fair share of dreams coming true, frustrations and hitting rock bottom, broken hearts and a lot of unexpected detours. Follow my blog and join me in this once in a lifetime adventure and I will make it worth your while.

What goes around, comes around… that much is true, whether it be good or bad.

Lately, I’ve been at the receiving end of generous people sharing their blessings, whether it be food, goodies or time, and it all came naturally like I’m always at the right place at the right time. I feel grateful and blessed to be surrounded by these people, and it’s so overwhelming that it would be wrong and selfish of me to keep it all to myself so I do the same to other people.

This being said, I firmly believe that you shouldn’t withhold blessings, but instead, you give it back, you pass it on, or you pay it forward all for the sake of giving. It would be ideal not to expect anything in return, to give simply out of the goodness of your heart but then again, it’s human nature to be selfish and more often than not, people will expect something in return.

Experiencing this made me realize that people will often surprise you with their kindness and generosity when you least expect it. When people give without being asked, that willingness to give is so inspiring that passing it on and paying it forward will just happen naturally.

Whatever reason you may have for giving or sharing, may it be from the heart with the intention of uplifting others. Let go of all hidden agendas, ill desires and greed, and let the goodness of people flow through you and towards other people.

The world badly needs generous hearts and empathetic souls.
