Life is What You Make of It

life

They say no one has ever got life figured out at an early age, or even at 50, so I should be comforted with that thought.

But I’m not. Already in mid-30s and still, my life seems unorganized, unstable, and unbalanced.

You see, life is what you make of it.

All your life choices and experiences contribute to a much bigger picture that you only get to see once it’s complete, once you’re ready for the next phase in your life.

Everything will come into full circle, and when you connect the dots, you will realize that all those things, both good and bad, had to happen, that all those people you met and left served a purpose, and all the mistakes you did, were for a reason.

While no one has got life figured out, life is still what you make of it.

Every single day, we are confronted with choices.

A choice between right and wrong, between what’s convenient and what takes time, between staying safe and taking risks, between a good and a bad attitude.

And all of your choices combined, contribute to where you are in life right now.

Perhaps destiny and luck are also in play, but collectively, the life choices and experiences we’ve created made us to who we are and who we will become.

So if you haven’t got life figured out yet, I encourage you to chase your dreams no matter the cost, to make mistakes as long as you learn from it, to experience pain as long as you rise above it, and to take risks so you can grow.

You may still haven’t figured life out after all these, but one thing’s for sure — you would have grown to a much better, wiser, and stronger version of you. And believe me, that is enough.

Sending you love from my side of the world! Cheers to a crazy, beautiful life!
